Cory O'Brien is a sound and new-media artist living in Washington, DC. He works in the areas of electro-acoustic improvisation, extended-technique percussion, interactive sound installation, and digital synthesizer design.
Collaborations include Dì Tuī Piàn Duàn (with Mei Mei Chang), Dozen Dimensions Duo (with Jeff Carey), Never Work (with Kenneth Yates), Makioki Sisters (with Jeff Surak) and Clouds-Out (with Jesse Hartgraves).
He has toured the USA and Europe, performing with artists like SKIF++, Andy Guhl, Ignaz Schick, Audrey Chen, Zavaloka, Alexi Borisov, Chris Jeely, Chuck Bettis, Bonnie Jones, Jason Kahn, Mattin, Kotra, Andrey Kiritchenko, Pink Twins, Eliot Sharp, Carlos Giffoni, Sten Ove Toft, and many others.
